“I can’t wait to go to sleep-away camp,” says excited Sally.
“You’ve been to camp before,” says Mom.
“I know, but not sleep-away camp,” says Sally.
“Sally’s parents, Louise and Phil, didn’t know what to do. The camp was in the path of a terrible hurricane.
“I’m going to sleep-away camp. I’m going to sleep-away camp,” chanted Sally, clapping her hands.
Then it happened. The roads going to the camp were closed due to storms and flooding.
“We’ll have to explain this to Sally,” says Louise to Phil. “We can’t take her anywhere due to the storm and she certainly can’t go to any camp. We’re lucky where we live is OK”
Then it happened. It was on the News on TV. That entire camp was destroyed.
But Louise and Phil were furious. They were happy that no one was there, but it should not have happened. The place should have been constructed much better.
“This should not have happened,” claimed Phil. “And something will be done about it. I’ll make sure of that.”
