About

Anne

Hello!  Welcome to my website!  I’d like us to get to know each other.

My name is Anne.  My passions are writing, drawing, painting, music and dancing.  I’ve been creating poetry and short stories since age 10 and I’ve been drawing, painting, listening to music and dancing since forever

I am also an animal lover—dogs, cats, gerbils, frogs, snakes, birds—you name them, I love them.  My favorite animal was my dog, Brandy.

Brandy, Brandy, Sugar Candy

that was my awesome dog, Brandy.

And cats, cats, I love cats

a cat, a dog, a bird and all that.

I’m not too much into sports, but I love boxing and wrestling.  And if any of you remember the Brooklyn Dodgers, I was a Brooklyn Dodger fan.  And I remember the song that was sung:

“Let’s keep the Dodgers in Brooklyn

A house is not a home without love

Let’s keep the Dodgers in Brooklyn

‘Cause Brooklyn fits the Dodgers like a glove.”

As for my personal life, I have a lovely daughter, Debi.  I did have two adorable identical twin sons but, tragically, my sons died shortly after their birth.

As for my education, I graduated from Empire State College, State University of New York, in 1991, with a B.S. in Literature.

I graduated from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on September 11, 2022, with a Master of Arts in Creative Writing and a Concentration in Poetry with a 4.0 GPA.

On May 15, 2015, I was called to the Torah as Bat Mitzvah.  On June 7, 2019, I was confirmed.

As for my past careers, I managed my late husband’s medical practice for over ten years.  When my husband became disabled, I was his caregiver.

And now, as always, I am a student, an author, and a visual artist.

This is the springtime of my life

Like the budding tree I flower

Luscious pink flowers that brighten the day.

They will not last long

But they enjoy the sun, rain and breezes.

Life is short

But that’s what makes it sweet.
