COMPANY

Please

I need to get on with my career

Yes.  Yes I will – Have no fear

But more than that, I need Company

Please.  Please.  Please.  Come talk and be with me.

High School

When I was in high school

They asked a question of me and you

Read a book or go to a party

Which would you rather do?

Don’t know what I said

But now know what I’d do

Read the book and chat with friends

Of what the book means to me and you.

Someone

I need someone to talk with

Talk with and be with too

Don’t want to be all alone

And not knowing what to do

So, I will create and friend

And then not feel so insane

My imaginary friend

Will be my friend called Jane

Jane and I will be true pals

Neither of us will be alone

Except if we want to be

In our happy home

I’ll write.  I’ll paint.  I’ll sing.  I’ll dance.

And happy we will be

I’ll do the things I thought I could not

For all the world to see.

Phone

The trouble with the world today

We’re best friends with our phone

A phone is not true COMPANY

And we then are all alone

We must learn to be a true friend

And our friends, the same

I’ll try my best and try to change

What is so wrongly rearranged.

Feelings

When we talk on our phone

Let’s say how we truly feel

And the person we are speaking to

Says how he or she is to you

Friend

If we feel a certain way

And it will hurt another

Let us try to compromise

And be a sister or brother

Let us learn to love and laugh

And be a friend so true

I love you.  You love me

What is left to do?

Myself

It’s very good to have a true friend

It is your greatest wealth

But another must also be your friend

And that must be yourself

Hopefully

Hopefully my words will help you

And you can think about them too

Yes.  Yes.  You and me

Yes.  Yes.  Me and you.

End

This is the end of my story

This is the end of my book

Hopefully it helps you and me

And we can take another look.
