And where do you get your Pepsi Cola? At the candy store on the corner, of course. And where do you get your nickel? Well, I don’t have any nickels. But John does. And where does John get his nickels? At the candy store on the corner, of course. When the phone rings at the candy store, it rings for some one in the building above the store. John runs upstairs to get the person and gets a nickel tip.
And where does John spend his nickels? Well, one place is the Good Humor Man, who would come by in the evening, right after dinnertime. He would be riding a 3-wheel bicycle with a small freezer in front, packed with Good Humor ice cream and ices, costing 2 nickels each. You would know he was coming because he would be ringing his bells. Need I say more!
Then there were the children’s movies at the movie theatre on Saturday afternoons. But they were more expensive. They cost 5 nickels and a penny. Need I say more!
What else was a nickel? A chocolate bar. A little ole chocolate bar. Need I say more!
