The Bath - A True Tale Long Ago

          “Mama.”  “Mama.”

“Children.  You’re getting so dirty.  I don’t know if there will be enough water left for a bath.”

Yes, that was a concern.  Bubbee, the children’s Mama, had a bathtub in the hall, just like the lady upstairs, who was now bathing her children in it.  This was Brooklyn, USA.  And this is how people lived at one time, if they were fortunate.

After a few minutes the lady upstairs called down to Bubbee.  “I’m finished bathing the children.  The water is still warm.  You can bath your children in it now.”

And so Bubbee did.
