Reckoned

My life is going to change soon

In a positive way

As far as my writing and painting go

They are here to stay

But now that I’ve turned eighty-four

I feel a difference in me

And the difference is exciting

Which all of us shall see

I’m not old – I’m accomplished

Old is not for me

Although it can be reckoned with

We shall see.  We shall see.  We shall see
