I’m living well with Lover Luck

Sometimes your luck depends on you

I’m not saying this to brag

But just to get you to think

You can have the many things you want

Or throw them down the kitchen sink

I do not have everything

But a substitute can do as well

I don’t listen to the jealous souls

And I hear music where I dwell

I feel a story coming on

I’m excited to write it, true

Yes, a story coming on

Written from me to you…

Now I’m back in high school again

Yes, it was so long in the past

But the lessons that I learned from it

Will last and last and last

I learned that you must be your own boss

That you’re responsible for you

But I didn’t learn it well enough

Later I knew that it was true

Yes, Mother and Father are great teachers

But they can make mistakes too

“Live and learn.  Live and learn”

I’m also telling this to you

This is just a slice of life

That I thought to say

Enjoy.  Enjoy.  I say to you

And live your life your own special way
