NAMI

There were times in my childhood

I didn’t know what to do

And I needed help

With mental illness too

It led to a problem pregnancy

And my parents did not realize

How to handle the situation

I was trouble in their eyes

Everything is better now

Somehow I learned how to live

I am now in therapy

And myself I must forgive

Besides, each gruesome situation

I must see the past but live today

I have my hobbies and my dreams

And life is finally going my way

I thank you NAMI

For what you do

Because in the past there was

No NAMI like you
